Andhra Pradesh:   As TDP marked the first crack in the BJP-led alliance and with the decision  to quit Central Govt, BJP Ministers in Andhra Pradesh cabinet submitted their resignation in the CM office in Amaravati.

Attacking Modi-led- government for "betraying" Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Wednesday was strong-willed to withdraw support of its two ministers in the central government. TDP marked the first splinter in the BJP-led alliance four years after when the massive storm appeared to the state.

TDP Supremo and AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu declared that the two ministers would submit their resignation on Thursday. "We have taken the decision to pull out two TDP ministers, civil aviation minister P Ashok Gajapati Raju and Union minister of science and technology Srujana Chowdary, from the Union cabinet as all our efforts to get special category status failed. It was a last resort decision," he said.

BJP ministers in the Andhra government are also likely to put in their papers in Amaravati on Thursday morning, as TOI supported.

 Yesterday Naidu took his twitor handle and said in a late-night tweet, "I tried reaching out to the Prime Minister to inform him about our decision. But sadly, he was unavailable,” AP CM tweeted.

Naidu's decision appeared within a  few hours of a press meet by FM Arun Jaitley, in which he announced that the Centre could not accommodate TDP's demands for "special category" status or tax relief for AP.
