Anita Hassanandani, who is seen as Vish Kanya, a shape-shifting snake on Naagin 3 recently opened about her life in an exclusive interview. The actress popularly known as Shagun from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein revealed how she battled depression and also spoke about casting couch.

“I wish I was more sensible about few things like the right make-up and would have been more careful about my weight. If I had paid attention towards these few things. I would have achieved a lot more what I have today. But nevertheless, there is a right time for everything. I have groomed and learnt what looks best on me and have realized the importance of hair, make-up and weight and I am working on it."

“That's how I am today and talking about the past, I feel it's ok I was young I did not know better. I feel I was naive and gave my best in whatever I knew. I think I have a lot of time to work on myself.

 Ekta has seen me going through ups and downs in life. She stood by me like a pillar of strength and guided me. As she is from the industry knows that failure is a part of it. When I was new, I used to get affected by failures. I even went into depression after Koi Aap Sa failed, Ekta got me out it.

“Actually I never gave up. I have faced failures, there were times when I have been jobless and even called up people to give me work but I never gave up. That is one thing I have learnt from Ekta. There was a time when I was not working with her production house, as I felt that I am good and to prove to myself I can get work even out of Ekta's production house. I started taking up work outside. Then I felt who I am trying to prove it too. What an idiot I am. Ekta is family if she doesn’t help me who else will?."

"When I was younger and was doing films I have witnessed it, but to be honest I truly believe it’s about how you handle the situation. You always have a chance to back off. But there are girls who are willing to do it so you can’t blame only one party. It exists because people are ready to do it. They are willing which is why people even have guts to ask.” the actress openly talked about the casting couch and the situations she faced during her struggle.

Talking about the motherhood the actress said that-

“Not now, at the moment Naagin is my focus but definitely at some point maybe next to next year (2020)." When probed further if Rohit and she discuss having babies, Anita answered, “Yes, of course. Right now Naagin is my baby and gladly Rohit understands that we both are focusing on our work so maybe next to next year we might decide to have. Let’s see how it goes.”
