In a shocking exposure, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie once came really close to taking part in some real-life surveillance on behalf of the International Criminal Court.

According to reports, a hoard of 40,000 ICC documents disclosed to the French analytical website Mediapart exposed that Jolie once offered to act as human bait in a trap to arrest vicious Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony.

The report also suggested that Jolie's now-estranged ex husband, Brad Pitt, was supposed to be part of the plan to allure Kony out of hiding.

She "has the idea to invite Kony to dinner and then arrest him," reads an e-mail sent by former ICC Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo.

The report also noted that Mr. Moreno Ocampo was hopeful that the couple would travel with US Special Forces to the Central African Republic and that would pull Kony out of an armored compound, permit for his capture.

Jolie and Moreno Ocampo were not strangers before the email exchange.

She had gone to the ICC at The Hague, Netherlands to watch him and take legal action Thomas Lubanga of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the first person to ever be found guilty by the court.
