The man with positive aura is feeling blessed to be in a part of the silver screen and thanked all people who helped him in his beautiful journey. He shared a profound note on his special day. The actor is now enjoying the great success of Race 3. The actor firstly came into limelight with his first lead role in Woh Saat Din(1983). However, his debutant with a 1971’s Tu Payal Mein Geet where he portrayed young Shashi Kapoor but unfortunately the movie never get released. After this, he also played a cameo role in "Humare Tumhare"(1979). The young man is known for his movies like 'Mr. India', 'Tezaab', 'Lamhe', '1942: A Love Story', 'Nayak', 'Taal', 'Slumdog Millionaire', and 'Dil Dhadkne Do'.

Answering a question regarding his 35 years in the film industry he remarked that “On June 23, it will be 35 years for me as a successful leading man. It’s a combination of goodwill, the right choices, hard work and working with the right people. My wife and family have kept me going. Sometimes, I also made the call to do something at someone’s behest and payback came later. You cannot have a cut-throat attitude for momentary gains.” He added “Everyone seems to be in it for a quick fix, while I have patiently run the marathon. Today, I am reaping benefits from seeds I sowed many years ago”
