Another case of Honour Killing, 4 of girl's family held

AMRITSAR: On Monday, in the suspected honor killing, a man in Tarn Taran district have bludgeoned to death his teenaged daughter and her paramour. He then dumped their dead bodies in his house. The accused got arrested along with the other three accused.  

Tarn Taran SSP D S Maan told to the leading daily that Ramandeep Kaur aged 19 and Husanpreet Singh, 20, both are Jat Sikhs and residents of Khemkaran. Late on Sunday night, they both were allegedly killed by the girl's parents, uncle, and aunt in their house.

According to the police reports, police have arrested Ramandeep’s father Jassa Singh, mother Manjit Kaur, uncle Harpal Singh and aunt Manpreet Kaur.

Police investigations suggest in their report that there are several injuries on the boy's body whereas girl was forced to consume Sulphas. The girl also has injury marks on her head. 

Bhikhiwind DSP said that both the deads were neighbours and had been in a relationship for around two years and had cleared class XII. On Sunday while coming back after feeding his cattle, Jassa, Harpal and a migrant labourer, Raju had allegedly abducted Husanpreet.

The accused wrapped the girl's body in a quilt and dumped it in a box inside the house. While, when the boy got late to return home in the night and his phone remains unanswered, his family started searching him and hence informed the police as well. 

After interrogating the girl's family, they confessed their crime. Police officials have sent the bodies for autopsy.
