Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday said that Goa would observe 2018 as an "anti-drug" and "anti-accident" year, Annoyed with US support to India on Kashmir, Pakistan NSA claims nuclear war in South Asia a ‘real possibility'

Parrikar made the comments whereas addressing the Goa Legislative Assembly.

CM was retorting to a calling attention action moved by Congress MLA Pratapsinh Rane who had expressed concerns about the sale of drugs in the coastal state.

The chief minister also declared that the government would set up a custody center in Mapusa where foreign nationals, who are found hang around in the state, would be arrested.

"Let us consider 2018 as the anti-drug and anti-accident mission for Goa. We will make sure that we will deport those foreigners, who are overstaying in the state," CM stated.

"The construction of the center (in Mapusa) is completed. We will put the foreigners involved in such activity in the detention center and later deported," CM added.
