The Apple watch saved the person's life. It is definitely a bit strange in hearing. But this is a reality. In the US, one person has claimed that an Apple Watch App notification has saved his life. 28-year-old James Green, who lives in New York, told that the Apple Watch app detected signs of a blood clot in her lungs and alerted her to medical attention.

Green found this alert from the HeartWatch app. This app monitors the person's heart rate throughout the day. When a heartbeat of a person reaches a certain limit above or below, it immediately alerts the user.

Green said in a tweet, "I never imagined that a wrist computer would save my life. I saw in it that suddenly my heart rate has increased rapidly."

The app indicated to Green that their heart rate remained consistently above 54 bits per minute. Green said, "Apart from this sign, I immediately felt that it needed immediate attention. I felt that this is not a panic attack but it is far more than that."

On the basis of these signs, when Green reached the hospital and the CT scan was done, it was discovered that he had blood clot in his lungs. His doctors told that if he had not paid immediate attention to it then this blood clot could have been fatal for her.

Some fitness trackers and smart watchs, including Heart Rate Monitors, continually track Heart Beats. In this case, they can also indicate a health problem. However, experts say that many of these devices are not safe, so they can not be used to detect cordivascular conditions always.
