Recently after wrapping up the shoot of Vipul Shah's Namastey England, Arjun Kapoor will soon start his preparations for Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat. The movie is based on the Panipat's third battle and is a high-octane action film. In the movie, Arjun will play the role of Maratha leader Sadashivrao Bhau. To get into the role he will not only go through intense training but will also learn Marathi.

According to the sources, ''Arjun can speak Marathi but for this specific film he will get a dialect coach who will help him grasp the nuances of the language that his character will require.''

Instead of Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon will also be acting in the movie. The making of the movie will be starting from mid-2018. When asked about Arjun, Ashutosh had earlier said, "What impresses me most about Arjun, apart from his fine performances, is his dynamism. He had played double roles twice (Aurangzeb, 2013 and Mubarakan 2017), and has portrayed an action hero as well as a lover boy."

The movie is going to host its flag under Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and Vision World Films. 'Panipat - The Great Betrayal' is slated to release on December 6, 2019.
