Army Chief General Bipin Rawat reviews security in Kashmir

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat reviewed the security situation in Kashmir Valley on Saturday. After the governor's rule in the state, it is his first visit here. Defense Minister Col Rajesh Kalia said, "Army Chief visited Kashmir Valley today and reviewed the security situation in the LoC and in the interior areas." 

He said that the Army Chief visited Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, Commander of the Northern Army Command, and Lt Gen AK Bhatt, Commander of Chinar Corps, in the frontier posts at the LoC in Kupwara and Baramulla in the marginal districts, where they were trained in strategic and logistical preparations. Information on all aspects was given.

Colonel Kalia said, "The Army Chief expressed satisfaction over the standard operating procedures and measures set by the military units and the preparedness to deal with the challenges raised by the enemy elements." 

The Army Chief, while emphasizing the performance of soldiers for successful missions, emphasized the need to take extra vigilance to defeat the evil conspiracy of the enemies. 

Rawat later met Governor NN Vohra in Raj Bhavan and discussed the entire security situation of the valley. Recently, terrorist attacks have increased in Kashmir and a militant Aurangzeb was killed by the terrorists.
