Army Chief General Bipin Rawat visits the AEC Training College in Pachmarhi

Army chief General Bipin Rawat concluded his two day visit to the AEC Training College and Centre at Pachmarhi on Sunday. The army chief was with his wife Madhulika Rawat who is the President of Army Wives Welfare Association and was also accompanied by a delegation of various other officers from the HQs also including Lieutenant General Rajesh Rana,VSM, General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area and Maj Gen Arun Kumar Vyas, Additional Director General of Military Training (Army Education). Before the Chief's visit, the former Chief of the Army Staff, Gen VK Singh had also visited the AEC Training College and Centre in the year 2012. Since the AEC Training College and Center is well known for providing training in the Foreign Languages and Military Music. Hence on June 16, a band concert was organised to present the martial music skills of the trainees and the instructors who have trained them. Madhulika Rawat also attended certain events conducted by the Family Welfare activities by Station ladies. The major highlight of the event was the exhibition of creative work by station ladies in which Madhulika Rawat rewarded all the participants. According to sources, the Chief inspected the training infrastructure and courses conducted at AEC Training College and Centre and was also informed in brief about the activities, on his two-day visit here. General Bipin Rawat also visited the Foreign Languages Departments and was also taken to the state of the art Language Lab, the Map Craft Dept which runs certain crucial courses regarding navigation for the Indian Army and the Department of English where they are provided with proper training to enhance their English communication skills. The General Officer highly appreciated the efforts put in by AEC Training College and Centre for amalgamating the latest technology and methodology in providing a quality training to all the personnel of the elite Indian Army. Known for its amazing beauty and the lush green surroundings, the Chief was infatuated by the beautiful and picture perfect locations of the Pachmarhi hill station. After a successful visit the Chief Rawat left for New Delhi on Sunday night.
