Finance Minister Arun Jaitley took to Twitter to congratulate and express gratitude to the people of the three north-eastern states after Bhartiya Janata Party’s unprecedented victory in the state assembly elections in Tripura, Meghalaya, and Nagaland.

He also congratulated party workers in the three states for working hard to make BJP victorious in the three states. He posted a series of tweets to extend his gratitude.

“Congratulations to @BJP4India Karyakartas, @BJP4Tripura @BJP4Nagaland & @BJP4Meghalaya on getting historic support of people in the legislative assembly elections. The sweeping success of BJP & its allies underscores developmental agenda under the leadership of PM @narendramodi Ji,” wrote Jaitley on twitter.

He termed BJP’s victory as a victory against corruption. He reiterated Central Government’s mission of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” and said the verdict confirms the faith of the people in BJP’s zero tolerance against corruption and focus on development.

“Success of BJP & allies in #Tripura #Nagaland & #Meghalaya legislative assembly elections emphasises zero tolerance policy of BJP against corruption, focus on development & growth of the country with highest priority to #SabkaSaathSabkaVikas,” tweeted the finance minister.

BJP’s victory in Tripura marked the end of a 25-year long leftist rule. Commenting on the same, he expressed special thanks to the people of Tripura for kicking ‘discriminatory and oppressive leftist rule’ out of power.

“Congratulations to people of #Tripura for historic victory of BJP in the legislative assembly elections. People of #Tripura  have accepted development against discriminatory and oppressive leftist rule. Gratitude to the people,” he wrote in the last tweet of the series.
