Jakarta: In the ongoing 11th edition of Asian Games Indian shooters rocking once again, as 15-year-old Shardulwon silver medal in the men's doubles pistol event. Shardul Vihan bagged this achievement by getting 73 points in the final round. This is the third time when this outstanding shooter win a medal in the Asian Games held in Indonesia. Earlier, Shardul had qualified in the final, with 141 points being topped.

In addition to Shardul in this event, Korea's Hunau Shin won Gold and Qatar's Hamid Ali Al Mari clinched the Bronze Medal. With this, the number of medals of India has gone up to 17. 4 Gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze medals have come to India's account so far. Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra also tweeted on the achievement of Shardul and acclaimed his achievements.

He has become the third Indian player to win medal in the Double Trap Championship in Asian Games. Prior to Shardul, in the year 2010, Roshan Sodhi had won gold in this sport event, while this year Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore had grabbed Silver Medal in his name.

Indian shooters continue to perform well in the Asian Games 2018 as Shardul is the third teenager to win a medal in these games. Before him, Saurabh Chaudhary grabbed gold in 10 meter air pistol.
