BCCI Confirms! Get reedy for Women T-20 team IPL

There is great news for Indian women cricketers. The BCCI has decided to make a match on the lines of the IPL for the women right before the IPL's current season. T-20 team captain Harmanpreet Kaur and veteran batsman Smriti Mandhana will be captaining in this exhibition match.

In this regard, the IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla said in his statement: "The IPL will continue to be as usual." It is our endeavor that women cricketers also got the chance to play on a big platform like IPL. We have talked to many cricket associations for this match. I am also happy with the result

The BCCI announced this match on Tuesday. This Women's T20 Challenge match will be played on May 22. The BCCI said in its statement that decision has been taken considering the success of the Indian team, which reached the final of the World Cup-2017. Australia, New Zealand and England players will appear in this match.

The member of the Committee of Administration (COA) and former Indian woman cricketer Diana Edulji said that the domestic players, including Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Veda Krishnamurthy, will appear playing together in this match. The BCCI is looking at it as the future of women's cricket.
