New Delhi/Bengaluru [India], December 11 (NT): with the bundle of Annoyance Congress for asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi to "apologize in Jama Masjid" for the 2002 riots,  saffron BJP on Monday stated those who did mistakes only they should make the apology.

This is a disgraceful statement by the Congress. They should have apologized for their deeds in 1984 anti-Sikh riots and now they are creating a unjustified controversy. The truth is only those people who have done mistakes apologize, but those who have not done anything wrong why they will make an apology, BJP leader Bizay Sonkar Shastri said.

Another BJP leader S. Prakash, in Bengaluru, stated instead of paying attention to development, the Congress was evoking Gujarat riots to win over the Muslim votes.

The Congress has once again carried the 2002 riots into the campaign. Till now, they were soundless on the issue. They are demanding an unreasonable apology from the Prime Minister. It was a communal riot where both Hindus and Muslims were taken life which happened in the consequences of Godhra incident.

The second-phase voting is left behind 93 constituencies which will be held on December 14, and the votes will be counted on December 18. (NT)
