'Alliance with BJP could have been suicidal' said Himanta Biswa Sarma

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the man behind the BJP’s recital in Tripura, said the grouping with IPFT (Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura) was the game changer.

“Alliance with IPFT could have been suicidal or have give us a huge advantage, but Amit Shah was sure it would get good results. Many people did not want the merger, but the BJP president was in favor and that has helped. If Shah is a student of post-graduation, Rahul Gandhi is in the nursery in terms of politics,” said Sarma.

“Huge vindication for consistent development that has been seen in North East in last 4 yrs which did not happen in last 7 decades. People have reasons to believe that this is the dispensation that they can look forward to trust for future growth,” said Jitendra Singh, Union Minister
