After the release of the second draft of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam, the politics of cross-border has increased. BJP is taking credit to bring it in other states. At the same time, the Opposition is united to go against it. On the lines of Assam, the demand for NRC has started in many other states of the country.

BJP has demanded NRC in West Bengal, Bihar, Delhi and UP. In such a situation, the question arises whether this process will be implemented in other states of the country or not. At the centre, ruling BJP demanded the implementation of the NRC process for the identification of illegal Bangladeshi people in the country. In West Bengal, the state BJP president Dilip Ghosh and in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya, in Delhi, state BJP chief Manoj Tiwari in the capital, Union Minister Giriraj Singh in Bihar and Naresh Agrawal demanded an NRC in UP.

Former MP Naresh Agrawal, who had quit BJP, said that NRC should be followed in all the states of the country because illegal Bangladeshi people are living in many parts of the country. Agarwal said, "NRC is an issue related to national security. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and other such states where illegal Bangladeshi resides like Assam. They should be identified through this process."

Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday gave a notice in the Lok Sabha in which he has said that the process of NRC like Assam should be started in Delhi too.

In West Bengal, BJP has demanded the NRC to identify the people living illegally. In Bengal, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh said, "We will send back the illegal migrants living in the state to Bangladesh. We will not tolerate any illegal migrant in Bengal. There are ten million Bangladeshi living illegally in the state."

Kailash Vijayvargiya, in charge of BJP in Bengal, claimed that the number of illegal migrants in West Bengal could be in crores. In this case, on the lines of Assam, the NRC process should be started in Bengal too.

Union minister Giriraj Singh has demanded NRC in Bihar like Assam. A large number of illegal Bangladeshi people are living in Bihar. He said that after Assam, there is now a turn to remove intruders from Bengal. In addition to the intruders living in Bengal, action will also be taken according to the law.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has demanded a survey of Bangladeshi living illegally in Mumbai on the lines of NRC. Party leader Bala Nandgaonkar issued a statement in Mumbai saying, "It has now been proved that more than 4 million people (in Assam) are illegal infiltrators. (MNS chief) Raj Thackeray has been talking about this issue for years."

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is shouting voice against the NRC draft, said she will not allow BJP's tactics to succeed. In a program in Manglawar in Delhi, she said, "We will not let this happen in West Bengal because we are there."

Mamta said that people can not be victimized only to win elections. India-Pakistan-Bangladesh was one of the first to face partition. Whoever came to India from Bangladuntiltill March 1971 is an Indian citizen.

The second draft of the NRC was issued on Monday. Under this, 2 million 89 lakh 83 thousand 677 people have been treated as legitimate citizens. While nearly 4 million people have been found to be illegal. In a way, the government has not considered them as an Indian citizen.
