The Janata Dal (United) (JD-U) has affirmed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has all the rights to contest the elections from all the 40 seats of the state, all by itself, if it feels that it can manage to form the government by itself and does not seek the support from its alliances.

According to Sanjay Singh, the Chief spokesperson of  JDU, "If the BJP does not need the help of its alliance partners, then it can fight on all 40 seats alone. Nobody is stopping them. Every party has a decision of its own. If they want to take a decision, they can take it. There is no problem."

He also added that the JD (U) is sufficient enough for contesting the elections without an alliance, since the party is united and has a strong anchorage in all districts of the state.
Well, Singh also stated that Bjp will never be able to win the elections without the support of chief minister Nitish Kumar.

He affirmed, "There is a big difference between 2014 and 2019. Issue-based politics is taking place in the country. The issues of 2014 election were different and for 2019 it is different. BJPknows without Nitish Kumar, they will not be able to get through in Bihar."
