Baramulla encounter UPDATE:  One more terrorist was later gunned down by security forces and till now total of 5 terrorists killed in this encounter that raged in Rafiabad forest area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday .Earlier Four militants were killed and a para-commando injured in a aforesaid encounter.

Worth mention here an army official wing received specific input about presence of terrorists,  following this information special forces including 9 para commandos and 32 Rashtria Rifles personnel launched a comb-out search operation in Dooniwara, Rafiabad forest area of Baramulla Wednesday morning. While the combing operation was going on, the search wing came under volume of fire from terrorists who were hiding in the forest area.

Sources told that army helicopters were also called into service to back troops on ground locate the terrorists. General Officer Commanding (GoC) of Srinagar-based 15 Corps Lt Gen A K Bhatt gave his kind words to Special Forces and other troops for killing 5 militants.

He further said Special Forces were particularly inserted in the area to cross the swards with the militants.

Worth mention here the killing of 5 militants in Baramulla encounter took place a day after four soldiers including a Major were martyred after troops foiled infiltration in bid of militants in Gurez sector along Line of Control. In this encounter two militants were also killed .
