Barmer refinery will unlock a door of new employment opportunities for youth says Pradhan

Barmer (Rajasthan) [India], Jan 16 (NT): Ahead of the inauguration ceremony of Rajasthan Refinery, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday lauded that the Barmer Refinery will unlock a door of new employment opportunities for the youth in the nation.

Addressing at a public meeting after the inauguration of the refinery, Pradhan said, "The opening of the refinery will help in the development of the petrochemical and gas sectors in the region. The refinery will also help in the employment of the youth. Along with employment, it will ensure all-round development in Rajasthan."

Union Minister Pradhan also added that the opening of the Barmer refinery will facilitate the economic growth in Rajasthan under the Kaushal Vikas Yojna, in which youth will not only study but also know everything related to the energy sector. With this refinery operational, at least “Rs 1 lakh crore has been planned for generating employment in the region by 2025," he informed.

The minister also shed light on progress-projects that will bring the first-time surge in infrastructure development, improvement of healthcare services and the establishment of prestigious education institutions in Western Rajasthan.

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the commencement of work at the oil refinery in Barmer district, Rajasthan today which is a joint venture of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the Government of Rajasthan, has worth Rs. 43,000 crores. (NT)
