Better to end it than to stretch it further.

A relationship brings pleasure, a sense of being loved, and peace. Well, not always, apart from all the good that it does, one major thought that it brings along is a part of you lost to find out a way so that you can make sure whether the relationship would last longer or not. Honestly, there isn't a completely reliable method to predict that.

With our progressively westernising society, a major set back that we have suffered is the increased number of separations and relationships ending at an alarming rate.

Well, studies were carried out in the University of California and postulated that initially, every relationship, be it a sincere one or a casual affair, appear similar. It takes time for the relationships to differ from each other.

You meet the person who appears really admirable to you. it is when time passes, and you become more familiar the person. you understand the way the person reacts to different situations. Well, honestly, your partner may not please you all the time, you see differences in opinions, you feel annoyed. Then gradually arrives a point when you give it a second thought if you really can take the person any more. If the answer is no, good enough to end things right then. The issue begins when somewhere in the back of your head, you realise that the person you're with isn't compatible enough. In spite of the realisation, you reluctantly push yourself back into the mess and keep pulling it for the sake of an illusion that prevails in your head.

Broken relationships are definitely painful, but even painful is a relationship which costs you your values and more than anything, the peace of your mind.

Hence, trying to save a sinking ship is good enough, but you need to understand;

Not everything in the world can be fixed. At times, you have to learn the 'art of letting go'.
