NEW DELHI. Senior Leader of opposition Mallikarjun Kharge today took a dig at RSS of dividing society on caste lines and termed them accountable for violence in Maharashtra, reported ANI. The Congress leader asked PM Modi to have a word on Bhima-Koregaon issue and tagged him "mauni baba" for having silence on such heated clash.

Bhima-Koregaon issue is raised in Lok Sabha amid hue and cry of all opposition parties and BJP.

Raising this clash of Dalit protests in Lok Sabha, Kharge further said some fascist forces who wanted to keep down Dalits were behind instigating violence in Maharashtra.

"Fanatic Hindutva propagated by RSS is responsible for dividing our society. People from Sangh Parivaar have created unrest in Maharashtra," Kharge alleged to RSS.

He condemned those who tried to get in the way in Bhima-Koregaon battle anniversary celebrations.

"Whether it is in Gujarat, Una or Rajasthan, wherever BJP is in power, there is injustice”, He further alleged BJP.

A Supreme Court judge should be appointed for making a detailed inquiry in this, Kharge added.

Kharge again accused PM Modi of keeping tight-lipped on such issues and demanded from him to make a statement.

"PM should come to the House and make a statement. When such incidents are happening, he does nothing," the Senior Congress politician wanted words from Modi.

BJP acted in response to the comments made by Kharge and hit back at the grand old party Congress for "employing divide and rule policy".

BJP held responsible Rahul Gandhi led Congress of adding fuel to fire instead of dousing it.
