Social Welfare Department Minister Manju Verma resigned from the post of minister on Wednesday in Bihar's Muzaffarpur Balika Shelter House, which is on target of opposition in the sexual assault case of girls . After resigning, the minister clarified that she had been 'targeted'. She accused the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tasvya Yadav and said that he targeted her to save many people. The opposition minister was demanding resignation of minister from Chandrashekhar Verma, who was accused of having a good relationship with Brajesh Thakur, the main accused in the case. 

Minister Manju Verma reached the Chief Minister's residence on Wednesday and submitted his resignation to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. After resigning, she defended his husband and said, 'My husband is innocent and will be proved innocent even after the investigation" Describing herself as a political and social person, she said, "No one can be held wrong on the basis of conversation. Many people come in and phone receives all. There will be people who will be targeted by Brajesh Thakur, everyone should be public and they should also be held guilty."

However, the minister also said that the matter is being investigated by the CBI under the supervision of the High Court and soon there will be milk and milk of the milk. Earlier, in the Muzaffarpur girl shelter home, the main accused of sexual acts, Brajesh Thakur, in response to a question of journalists in the Muzaffarpur court complex, had said that his minister had a practical relationship with his husband. It is believed that after the statement of Brajesh Thakur, the pressure of resignation on Manju Verma was increased. 

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had also said on Monday that all the culprits found guilty in this case will be taken into action. The social audit conducted in the Muzaffarpur Girls' Shelter, operated by the Service Resolutions and Development Committee, was told about sexual harassment of girls. Later, 34 girls were confirmed for misdemeanors in medical examination.
