The main accused, who has been named as 'Master Mind' in the popular case of embezzlement in the name of making a toilet in Patna in Bihar, has been arrested from Telangana state. The main accused is Accountant Bateswar Prasad of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), which has been arrested by SIT from Telangana.

So far 10 people have been arrested in this case.  Patna's SSP Manu Maharaj said on Thursday that the account of making a toilet was done by the SIT team from Jagdagiri Gutta Station area of Telangana, accountant Bateseshwar Prasad, the mastermind of the Gambian case, was arrested.

The main accused in this case, Executive Engineer Vinay Kumar Sinha, has not yet been caught by the police. The arrested accountant has alleged that he had transferred the money to build toilets in the bank account of the NGO instead of sending it to the beneficiary's account. In this case, the SIT had arrested five people on Wednesday.

It is worth noting that in the financial year 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15, the number of toilets was transferred directly to the NGO's account instead of the beneficiaries. Patna District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal caught this financial disturbance during a departmental review. After this, an FIR was lodged in Patna's Gandhi Maidan police station and the SIT was formed in the whole case. The opposition is constantly targeting the government on this issue.
