They both met on the set of, mujhse dosti karoge when he was producing the same picture. It was just a professional meet but later news of their meeting outside started to come out.

The producer was still married to his first wife. He later divorced her and went o rani’s parents to ask them if he is allowed to date her.

Out of nowhere, the news came out that they both got hitched secretly while Jab tak hai jaan was on the last stage of its release.
