On Sunday, Cable operator Mandar Borkar was arrested from the Mahakal temple premises in Ujjain, just before he was about to get married.

According to the Mahakal police station in-charge MS Parmar, Mandar was associated with the Chhota Rajan gang. The were provided with the information by the Mumbai police.

From the inputs provided, police reached the place and arrested the Boriwali- based gangster.

The gangster was with his would-be wife and the couple was about to get married.

Mandar had cases of attempt to murder and 10 cases of extortion filed against him.

He was accused of trying to murder a Dahisar-based bar owner.

Mandar became a headline when he with his companion and also a son of gangster Nandu Kadam, Raja Kadam, threatened and extorted from a builder, for gangster Guru Satam.

Kadam was arrested while Mandar eloped but after some time, he surrendered before the crime branch.

He was arrested under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), but since the police were unable to prove it hence he was released on bail.

Finally, after arresting the gangster Mandar Borkar, the Mumbai police breathed the air of Relief.

The police officials are now trying to find out more evidence regarding the accused.
