Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer “Stree” hit the silver screen today alongside the third instalment of Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol starrer franchise Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. Stree is a horror comedy and has opened with good reviews on box office. On the other hand Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se has opened with mixed reviews from the audiences and critics in the same opinion. According to initial Box office reports, Stree has taken a good beginning at the box office as compared to YPDPS.

 The box office reports suggested that it was occupied for the morning shows by the viewers of Stree while for Yamla the most important game changer could be the single screens audiences which came in post afternoon hours. Given the initial predctions, Stree is reportedly looking at 5 crore opening. It is likely to go higher if the night shows will see big hop of viewers because the positive word of mouth. While YPDPS has taken a slow start but can pick up jump during the day depending on how the single screens open.

 Worth mention here Stree with tagline Mard Ko Dard Hoga has been scripted by Raj and D.K. They are well known for the films like Go Goa Gone, Shor in the City and A Gentleman. Stree has been made on a budget of Rs 20 crores and is likely to earn in profit. On the other hand, YPDPS has been invested on a budget of over 35 crores.
