Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer, which affect women at a huge. Still a rarity amongst men, breast cancer is a disease in which cancer cells form in the tissues of the breast. Beginning in the cells of the breast, breast cancer can damage the nearby tissues and spread to other parts of the body.

Breast cancer causes-

Despite this advancement in medical science and technology, the exact cause of Breast Cancer is not clear. Cancer in breast develops when cells in the area begin to multiply at abnormal rates. The factors that increase the risk of a woman getting Breast Cancer are the following:

Her Age

 Increasing age is the biggest risk factor of causing Breast Cancer

Your past medical conditions

Alert! If you've had cancer in one breast, there are chances that you may develop cancer in the other breast as well.

Exposure to radiation: Exposure to radiation treatments, especially to your chest can increase the risk of Breast Cancer.

Obesity Problem

Obesity is not only the reason behind many health diseases but it also causes for a breast cancer.

Taking of alcohol

Consuming alcohol on daily basis increases the risk of Breast Cancer.

Some symptoms of Breast Cancer include:

Swelling in breast

Pain in breast or in nipple

 Nipple retraction (nipple turning inwards)

 Discharge from nipple (and it's not milk)

 Redness of breast skin or of the nipple

 Skin irritation or dimpling

Lump inside the breast area near nipples or anywhere else on the breast(s)

 Lump in the armpit

 Unexplained change in shape or size of the breast

Appearance changes in skin

Changes in thickness of nipples

 Blood stained discharge from nipples

 Bone pain

 Prevention of breast cancer

Say bye! to smoking

Smoking abets not just Breast Cancer but a lot of other diseases as well. It is better to quit as soon as possible.

Limit Alcohol Intake

Drinking less alcohol decreases Breast Cancer risk. The lesser alcohol you intake lower the risk of developing Breast Cancer.

Do lots of exercises

Doing exercise, maintaining healthy food habits and cutting extra kilos off the body help in reducing the risk of Breast Cancer.

Breast Feeding

Breastfeeding can help you curb Breast Cancer risk. The longer you breastfeed the greater is the chance to cut down Breast Cancer risk.
