Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], November 13: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken a part in the 549th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak .

 CM Singh on Sunday evening bowed down in front of the Guru Granth Sahib, the religious scripture of Sikhism, and offered prayers for the happiness of people at the CM’s House.

CM Singh said the final day of the "Vikas Parva" will be notable in Bhopal.

Previously on Sunday, after getting defeat in the Chitrakoot Assembly by-polls, the Chief Minister said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will look in the reason behind the devastation.

Congress contender Nilanshu Chaturvedi today marked a win in the by-polls in Chitrakoot constituency and beaten BJP candidate Shankar Dayal Tripathi by a margin of over 14,000 votes.

Addressing to media, Chouhan further asserted that the BJP tried its best to flounce the by-polls but could not make possible it.

The polling for the Chitrakoot Assembly seat was apprehended on November 9 and the counting of votes took place today in the midst of unyielding security.

At least 257 polling booths with VVPATs (Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail) machines were organized for the polls.

As per the Election Commission (EC), there were 1.98 lakh electorate in the Chitrakoot Assembly constituency.
