CM Yogi condemns Aiyar over 'neech' comment, warns opposition on Gujarat polls

Anand (Gujarat) [India], December 08 (NT): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar's 'neech' (low-minded) comment in opposition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi adding that people of Gujarat would teach the party a lesson in forthcoming polls.

Speaking to media, CM Adityanath on Thursday stated, "Mani Shankar Aiyar's comment is disgraceful and regrettable. We criticize it. Using such words for the Prime Minister is an insult of India and its people. Congress party must apologies or people of Gujarat will teach them a lesson in forthcoming election."

Aiyar, earlier in the day,tagged  to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a "neech aadmi" after , at the launching of the Ambedkar International Centre, alleged Congress of deflation the father of the Indian Constitution.

"This person is a 'neech aadmi'. He (PM Modi)is not civilized and at a time like this (Gujarat Polls), there is no need to play such dirty politics," Aiyar commented.

Though, Mani Shankar Aiyar in a while shed light on that the 'neech faux pas go off due to his poor indulgent of Hindi language.

After his comment, the Congress suspended Aiyar immediately from the primary membership of the party and also issued directives for a show cause notice to him. (NT)
