Less than a year left for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In this case, the issue of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) is less than a boon for the Congress to target the BJP. But today, a meeting of the Congress Working Committee took place in Congress headquarters in Delhi to prepare its land. Sonia Gandhi is not taking part in this meeting due to poor health.
Congress national president Rahul Gandhi has reached the place to attend the meeting. Many big party leaders have also reached the meeting. Including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Ghulam Nabi Azad. It is believed that there will be a discussion on the NRC issue in the meeting. Apart from this, at the end of the year, elections will be held in three states- Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Strategies will also be created for this.
In the meeting, issues like mounting mobs lining, prices of essential commodities, including LPG, will be discussed in the meeting. On July 31, Rahul had convened an emergency meeting of senior leaders of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Digvijay Singh at his residence on July 31. There will also be discussions on what will be the promotional strategy for assembly elections. In Madhya Pradesh, Rahul will start his campaign from Omkareshwar in Khandwa district. Before starting the campaign, he will visit the Jyotirling of Shiva for blessings.
