The  Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath yesterday has been granted  Z-plus security by the Centre.

On the basis of threat perception which is provided by the Intelligence department, the security is given to the Prime Minister, President, Vice-President, Supreme Court and High Court Judges, State Governors, Service Chiefs of Indian Armed Forces, Chief Ministers and Cabinet Ministers.

There are four categories in security i.e Z-plus, Z, Y and X. In Z-plus the person is entitled to have 36 personnel, in Z 22 Personnel, in Y 11 personnel and in X 2-5 personnel.
