Before any worship in Hindu scriptures, the provision of worship Ganesha is stated. According to a belief related to the Kalash in the worship of the goddess, it is considered as Lord Vishnu. Therefore, firstly the Kalash is worshipped. Prior to setting up the Kalash, the worship place should be purified with the Ganga water. All the Gods are invited to this prayer.
Lentils made of turmeric, betel nut, turmeric, penny are kept in Kalash and is decorated with five types of leaves. Under this sand is kept with barley seeds.
Annapurna Devi is worshipped by this method of sowing barley, who is the goddess of money.

In the middle of this worship, the idol of the worship of Durga should be decorated with roli, rice, vermilion, garland, flower, chunari, saree, jewellery and suhag.
At the same time, offer goddess fruits and desserts in the morning and milk in the night and should also offer with halva puri the whole day.

From this day the stories of 'Durga Saptashati' or 'Durga Chalisa' is commenced. The timeless lamp is lit on the time of worship, which should remain burning till the last day.
After the establishment of the Kalash, Ganesh Ji and goddess Durga's Aarti is commenced, for all nine days. On the day of the establishment of the Kalash, the worship of the first Goddess of Navaratri, the Shailpurutri of Mother Durga is worshipped. All devotees fast on this day and in the evening after worshipping they eat their food.
