Tuesday, cops seized 42 timber scants extracted illegally in Doda district here, police said.As per information report, police team conducted a raid in Budhli Champal area in Gandoh and recovered timber, measuring over 175 cubic feet, Station House Officer (SHO) Gandoh, Tariq Hussain Naik said.
However, the smugglers managed to flee from the spot, he said, adding efforts are on to nab them.
he said, a case has been filled under relevant sections of Forest Act and further investigation is underway.
