Creme Anglaise is an easy-to-make dessert sauce recipe, popular in most parts of Europe specially France. It is a light custard-y sauce and is poured over slices of cake, or is used as the custard base for creme brulees and also for ice creams. It can also be served like a fondue with fruits and cakes, which makes it a very delectable sauce. Serve it on a date night, or on your anniversary to your loved one, and enjoy love along with great food.

Ingredients of Creme Anglaise
1 cup milk
4 pinches vanilla beans
6 tablespoon sugar
6 egg yolk
1 cup whipping cream

How to make Creme Anglaise
Step 1

To start with, transfer the milk and whipping cream in a heavy-bottomed sauce pan. Add the vanilla beans to it. Place the sauce pan on a stove over low heat and let it simmer. Once it simmers, remove the sauce pan from the stove.
Step 2
Now, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar in a large bowl until the sugar dissolves, and both the ingredients completely combine together. Then pour in the hot milk mixture that was simmered earlier, while continuously stirring it.
Step 3
Transfer the yolk-milk mixture to a pan and place it on the stove over low heat. Keep stirring it continuously, until the mixture thickens. Place it in a serving bowl and serve with fresh fruits and dry cakes. It can also be served when chilled.
