Yesterday, the 16th match of IPL 11 has been played in between Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The match took place at the Punjab Cricket Association's IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. In this very match Kings XI Punjab has won the match with a lead of 15 runs.

The inning was started by KL Rahul and Chris Gayle as the KXIP won the toss and opted for bating. Bhuvneshwar Kumar entered with the ball for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In over 1 Bhuvi, gave away just two runs. Kings XI Punjab stunning opener Chris Gayle scored the first century of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 11. He made his sixth in the cash-rich league, during a T20 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Mohali.

As being the cornered tiger during the IPL auction Cris Gayle went unsold till the last minute when Preeti Zinta opted for him. By showing his lack of interest in franchises to his heart, Gayle said immediately after his century that "A lot of people thought I'm too old. After this innings, I have nothing to prove,"  Earlier, Gayle scythed through SRH bowling attack with a 21st T20 hundred firing KXIP to 193 for 3 in 20 overs.

Incidentally, Gayle's 58-ball-hundred is the first record of the edition. And he is in opposition to work current balling line-up. After knocking century Gayle has marked the celebration, he gestured rocking a baby in a cradle, with his family in the VIP box. "This hundred is dedicated to my daughter. Tomorrow is her birthday," the loving father said.

The first 50 came off 39 balls. He took just 19 balls to complete the second 50. In his remarkable inning, each and every six was signature Gayle. He showed minimum footwork and maximum power behind the shots. In the 14thover the innings of Gayle actually turned into the storm as he was batting on 51 and smashed leg-spinner Rashid Khan for four consecutive sixes.
