Delhi Live: Bilateral talks between PM Modi & Iranian President underway

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding bilateral talks with Iran President Hassan Rouhani in New Delhi's Hyderabad House.

The two premiers are expected to take stock of whole array of issues that are key to India-Iran ties. After the talks the two sides are also expected to sign key agreements.

PM @narendramodi holds delegation level talk with Iranian President @HassanRouhani, both sides review progress achieved in bilateral relations & exchange views on regional & international issues of mutual interest, DD news tweeted.

Later speaking to media in Press Meet, Iranian President recalled the age old cultural ties between the two countries.

Earlier this day Iran President Hassan Rouhani met EAM Sushma Swaraj and hold bilateral talks on mutual interest of both nations.

 EAM talking head Raveesh Kumar said,”A close friend in our extended neighbourhood! EAM @SushmaSwaraj called on President of Iran Dr. Hassan Rouhani. Strengthening cooperation in energy, connectivity, IT, education, culture and people-to-people contact came up for discussion. #DustemanIran,” he tweeted.

The ceremonial reception on Saturday Morning has been accorded to President Rouhani at Rashtrapati Bhavan following a call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind.

Iran President Hassan Rouhani inspected the guard of honor at Rashtrapati Bhawan.He also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
