Delhi Police top cop receives threat e-mail claiming killing of PM modi in 2019

New Delhi: Delhi Commissioner of Police Amulya Patnaik has allegedly received a threat e-mail in which claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be killed. The one -liner threat mentions the specific date in 2019 on which PM Modi will be allegedly attacked.

In Initial investigation, it was found that mail was probably sent via a server that has been traced to North-East, specifically to Assam.

After receiving the threat mail regarding regarding death of PM Modi, his safety, security agencies have been put on high alert as PM is to hold several rallies in coming days.

However, the police has not yet been able to catch the culprit, who sent this threatening e-mail to top cop Amulya Patnaik. According to the reports, the investigation of the case has begun since the senior police received threatening e-mail.

Earlier, In June this year, Pune Police had claimed that they had recovered a letter from the suspected Maoists, which showed that they were planning to kill PM Modi just like the Rajiv Gandhi.

The assassination former Prime Minister of Rajiv Gandhi occurred as a result of a suicide bombing in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai, in Tamil Nadu on 21 May 1991.
