MP: Digvijaya Singh elected as coordination committee chief

On Tuesday, the Congress President Rahul Gandhi appointed a senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh as the chairman of the coordination committee of Madhya Pradesh. The step by Congress President Rahul Gandhi has been taken prior to the elections this year. 

According to the reports, Jyotiraditya Scindia was named the chairman of election campaign committee for Madhya Pradesh earlier.

Leading to this, the other committees which Rahul Gandhi has formed includes communications strategy committee, manifesto committee, and disciplinary action panel. Apart from these, the Congress President also named 20 district Presidents for Madhya Pradesh.

Worth mentioning here is that the term of the 230-member state assembly is ending in January 2019.

Earlier today, Rahul Gandhi designated Rajni Patil as AICC in-charge of Himachal Pradesh. Rajni Patil succeeded by former union minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.

Meanwhile, recently, Digvijaya Singh had boarded on a six-month-long ‘Narmada Yatra’ along with his wife Amrita along with several of his followers. He concluded the 3,300 km yatra on foot on the banks of Narmada in Narsinghpur district in April 2018.

Along with this Jitendra Baghel and Biswaranjan Mohanty were elected as secretaries of the Gujarat Congress with Nadeem Javed who has been named the Chairman of AICC’s minority department.
