69 year old director Kundan Shah took hi last breathe this morning due to a huge cardiac arrest. Filmmaker popularly known for his comedy classic Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro' which was directed by him in the year 1993. Other memorable movies of the Director includes ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Haan’, ‘Khamosh’ , ‘Kya Kehna’, and ‘Dil Hai Tumhara’.

Mr. Kundan was born on 19th October 1947. If we speak about his education Shah studied direction at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. Further the director showed his interest in the comedy genre. He also worked for TV series Nukkad with Saeed Akhtar Mirza was telecasted on DD National. He was one of the directors of the popular sitcom Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, which started telecast in August 1984.

Director won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie in 1994. Also, the filmmaker was awarded with National Film Award – Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director.

“RIP Kundan Shah.#JaaneBhiDoYaaron was a classic. #KabhiHaanKabhiNaa is one of my fav films ever. May u Keep the heavens entertained”, wrote Director Milap Zaveri on twitter.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta took to twitter and expressed his grief on the director's detah “Jaane bhi do yaaron… RIP Kundan Shah. Sad news”.
