Thiruvananthapuram:On Friday, the engine of an Assam bound train spoiled close to Kanyakumari,because a landslip caused by heavy rain while no one was injured in the accident.
It is the single line section between Nagercoil and Thiruvananthapuram Central ,which have been exaggerated due to derailment of Kanyakumari-Dibrugarh Express.
Southern Railway Press Release said, "The train had left Kanyakumari at 2300 hrs last night and got derailed after passing Eraniel station at 0110 hrs today due to landslip,"
Just because of the heavy rain fall in the area,the pair of engine wheels slipped form the track.
“No wounded has been reported”, the release said.Further adding, “Divisional Railway Manager and restoration team are at the spot.”
