Cairo: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday condemned the "barbaric” massive terror attack on an Egyptian mosque since the death toll mount to 235.
The Prime Minister stated that India supports the fight against terror campaign.
More than 200 people were taken life and at least 109 others wounded after an explosion took place and armed militants opened fire inside the premises of a crowded mosque, Al Rawdah, in Egypt's restive North Sinai territory.
Eyewitnesses also claimed that gunmen did open fire at the ambulances carrying the wounded to hospitals.
Convening condolences over the unpleasant incident, Prime Minister Modi tweeted, "Strongly condemn the barbaric terrorist attack on a place of worship in Egypt. Our deep condolences on the loss of innocent lives".
PM Modi further said that India "resolutely supports" the fight against all terror campaign and stands bravely with the people and the Egyptian government.

the government of India also fated the terror attacks, tagging it as “heinous act of terrorism".
External Affairs Ministry talking head Raveesh Kumar tweeted, "Government of India strongly condemns the heinous act of terrorism that has claimed innocent lives in Bir-al-Abed, North Sinai in Egypt today,"

The terror attack on Al-Rawdah mosque, allied with Sufi outfits, happened during Friday prayers.
