The month of Ramadan is the holy month of fasting for the Islam followers. Recently the news was declared that the last ten days of Ramadan starting i'tikaf will start. These last ten days of ashr started in some parts of the country a day later.
This happened because of the sighting of the moon. The Muslims start the month of Ramadan and end it with sighting the moon. This year some parts of the country did not witness the sighting of the moon and therefore they started the celebration of the month one day later. This problem will arise again during the time of eid.
It is already 21st century, there should be a single date declared to celebrate all the events of the holy month. This will increase the unity in Muslims and spread the message throughout. Keeping the religious thought in mind, the higher Islamic authorities should decide whether the date is good for everyone or not. it is a necessary practice to see the moon to celebrate Eid.

The eid is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal and therefore seeing the moon is really important for the true followers of Muslims.
Many religious scholars say that in the Quran, there are no clear instructions about determining the month by looking at the moon, but it refers to the arrival of the month. Despite this, if anyone finds out through any source that Ramzan has arrived, he or she should keep fast.
Therefore deciding the start and end on the basis of eid is especially unnecessary as the people have adopted it in India.
Countries like America, Canada, Australia, UK, Europe, West Asia all depend on Saudi Arabia for the moon sighting. Ramzan begins with the announcement of Ramzan from Saudi Arabia and so does eid.

While people from South Asia still believe in the sighting of the moon before anything.
The main issue arises when their people celebrate the festival on different days and it is big time annoying to wish people and relative in the other corner of the world . while you’re wishing them eid, they’re still fasting on the last day of Ramadan.
