The talk of electric vehicles in the market is on Zorro, not just cars and bikes but electric trucks will also be seen on the roads now. Daimler AG Company has also introduced Euro-V truck under the Bharatbange brand. Daimler also launched the Electric Foose E Canter Truck in New York. About this, Daimler Asia chief, Mark Listolola, said that if there are a partnership and cooperation at the local level in India, then it is ready to produce electricity trucks in the country.

At the same time, he also said that the government needs to show actual cases of electrical infrastructure for vehicles. This is not the prototype but in the real cases which work. The company's electric truck is charged by superchargers in just five minutes. Regarding hybrid trucks, India Benz Managing Director Eric Hasselhoff said that hybrid trucks are not a better option for the Indian market for a long time.

He said that it is similar to bio-diesel technique, it requires a lot of investment, but the expected result is not available. For this reason, Daimler AG also wants to create an eco-friendly environment for customers in India.

“We’re looking at some time towards end of this year (for the) launch,” said Ashok Jhunjhunwala, a principal advisor to the ministry of new and renewable energy who is helping with the project.
