Friday,May 20, 2016: According to the police, “A woman was killed by her husband and in-laws over dowry order in Ananadpur village in Awagarh Kotwali”

This was the incident of Thursday, when Sapna’s husband Subhash Chandra, his father Diwari Lal, mother Pooran Devi set her ablaze, as per the FIR filed by the victim’s father Om Prakash.

Om Prakash said, “Sapna was married to Subhash four years ago”

He further said, Sapna was "tortured and harassed" by her husband and in-laws for dowry.

Awagarh Kotwali station officer Digvijay Singh said, “the victim's husband and in-laws, one more person has been made accused in the case and police are investigating the matter”
