Every year, the Bank Provisional Officer exam is conducted, throughout India to appoint Scale I Officers in various banks across the country. This examination is conducted online under the observation of various public-sector banks across the country for the post.

The candidates who qualify the examination are trained for about 2 years. The training period may vary according to different banks.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERION: The eligibility criteria for different exams are different. Talking of the basic eligibility criterion for all such examinations, the candidates must be between 20-30 years of age. Age relaxation for the reserved categories such as SC, ST and OBC is determined as per government norms. The minimum academic qualification required is a graduate degree from a well-recognized university. For further details, the candidates must go through the application brochure of the concerned examination.

 

SALARY: For the freshers, the salary ranges from Rs 23,700 - Rs 42,020. This figure is a mere approximation. It may differ on the basis of the bank concerned.

 

RECRUITMENT: Recruitment examinations for the candidates are conducted by banks every year. The banks may conduct it individually based on Common Written Examination (CWE) pattern. It is also known as IBPS PO exam, which is conducted every year by IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection).

 

SELECTION: The selection process is completed in 3 phases:

1) Preliminary Exam

2) Mains Exam

3) Group Exercise and Interview
