So far, Facebook's status, stories were known to people about you, but now Facebook users will tell about them. Yes, Facebook is now working on something that will tell you whether you are rich or poor.

The company has filed a patent application for the technology, which can identify the socio-economic status of users and will be divided into three separate classes, which include working class, middle class
and high class.

According to a media report, according to the patent, the social media giant wants to create a system that will collect and analyze the personal data of users, so that the socio-economic status can be estimated.

These private figures also include education, home-ownership and internet access. This patent was made public on Friday. It has suggested an algorithm which can improve the capabilities of Facebook, allowing it to show ads for most of the users.

The patent said that by estimating the socio-economic status of its users, it would help to reach the target audience (third party advertisements of the third party).  The addition of these personality quiz statuses could be a response to the fact that people are sharing fewer personal updates on Facebook than they used to. According to The Information, these types of updates have slowed as feeds become more populated by boosted brand posts, shared videos and news, and memes.
