Hathras (UP), July 15: The Alwar mob lynching case is still fired up and a next case with the same resemblance emerged in Nagla Mandhata village in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh where four men were assaulted by a mob.
Four men alleged of smuggling a dead buffalo were thrashed by the villagers on Wednesday morning, news18 reports claimed. Villagers alleged that the four victims while transporting the corpse of buffalo in a pick-up van were caught in Nagla Mandhata village. However, police by reaching on time at the place rescued the men.
Reportedly, the owner of the dead cattle also claimed that the men had poisoned the buffalo. Sushil Ghule, Superintendent of police informed that if the allegations on the men assaulted by the mob will be proven than strict action will be taken in the matter.
The case is highlighted due to the recent violent occurred at Alwar in Rajasthan where a 28-year-old man passed due to the mob attack who termed him a cow smuggler. The men succumbed to his injuries as he was not transported to the hospital on time.
An advisory of a group of ministers is formed on central government direction to suggest ways of checking for mob lynching so that the same incidents can be lessened in the country. The advisory later suggests the appropriate ways to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
