As per the new report that has come out by the United Nations, the average age at which people get married is affected by many causes. Not only this but the country in which a person lives is also one such factor, others being their financial condition, career, peer pressure etc. Read on to find the average marriage age across different countries:

-In India The average age at which Indians get married is 22.8 years. However, like most countries, men marry later than women in India too.

-In Germany

It seems Germans are in no hurry to ties the knot—the average age at which people in Germany get married is 33.1 years.

-In China

People of the most populous country in the world don’t marry too young. At 25.3 years, the average marriage age in China which is a pretty normal one.

-In the United States

The average marriage age in the US is 27.9 years. And it shows that  Americans are least interested in getting married these days because less than half of American adults are married whereas around 72 percent adults were married in 1960.

-In Indonesia

At the very age of  21.9 years, Indonesia is one of the countries with the lowest average marriage age across the globe.

-In Iran

People in Iran get married in their mid-20s, which brings down the average marriage age in the country to 25.2 years.

-In Japan

In Japan which is also called the land of cherry blossoms and geishas there people like wait and watch before they take the plunge. The average marriage in Japan is 30.5 years.
