An important meeting of GST Council is going to be held on 4th May. There may be many big decisions regarding the sugar sector in this meeting. According to the information provided by the sources to CNBC-Voice, according to the GST Council meeting, sugar will not be cessed. The meeting of officials before the meeting of GST Council has ended. There is no agreement on the release of cess on sugar in the officials' meeting. States have opposed the cess on sugar. Consensus has not been agreed on reducing GST on ethanol. It has also been agreed that GSTN has not yet agreed to make a government company. 

According to the sources quoted sources, under GST, tax exemptions can be considered for those who make digital transactions. There is a proposal to a concession on digital transactions to both the customer and the shopkeeper. Under which a recommendation for a rebate of GST refund or income tax returns has been recommended.   

According to sources, giving concession as a cash back to the customer will also be considered. GST Council will consider 3 ways of provisional refund under GST. Under the provincial refund, the goods buyer will get an input tax credit before the invoice matching. In the Council meeting, GSTN will also consider making a government company.
