After reducing GST on FMCG products, the government is now contemplating reducing GST slabs on consumer durables such as washing machines and refrigerators, which now come in 28% slabs.

Many Goods may come in 12% and 18% tax brackets.  According to official sources, the reason for reducing the tax slab at the restaurant was also that women would be able to get a little free from the functioning of the house. Worldwide, it is believed that products such as dishwashers and washing machines reduce the burden of women. With the advent of these products, the work of women seems less energy and also takes less time. Now they can put their energy and time in some other things too. However, many White Goods already come in 12% and 18% tax brackets. 

Due to decreasing tax, demand will increase.  According to the news, the partner of Deloy India said that if all the consumer durables will have an equal 18% tax, then it will be encouraged to domestic manufacturers. The decrease in the tax will increase the demand and the demand can reduce the company's prices. Due to some consumer durables such as dishwasher and air conditioner luxury products are no longer due to which it is worth taking 18% GST. 

 GST rates on restaurants were reduced from 18% to 5% excluding five-star hotels last week, GST rates were reduced from 18% to 5%, but still many food chains increased prices by eliminating the input tax credit. In fact, the government wants to keep three tax rates in the future by mixing 12% and 18% at one rate and placing the processed foods and other household utensils in the 5% bracket.

In the two-day GST Council meeting held in Guwahati last week, a change in GST rates of 211 items has been changed. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said after the GST Council meeting that the GST rate on 178 items has been reduced to 18 percent. In the 28 percent slab, 228 items are left, not just 50 items.
